Sustainable Tourism Program

General Objective

Enhance sustainable tourism development contributing to the implementation of public and private policies that allow a more appropriate disposition of benefits reinforcing common participation, equality, and conservation of biodiversity and natural resources.

Lines of Action:

• Local development and poverty relief: Counterpart of the project: “Urban Sustainable Tourism sustenible in the neighborhoods of La Boca y Barracas”, financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and executed by the Economic Cooperation International Institute (ICEI) of Milan.
• Certification in Sustainable Tourism: Founder and National connector in Argentina and members of the Executive Board of the Sustainable Tourism Certification Network of the Americas.
• Sustainable tourism Management: conjoint program with the University for International Cooperation of Costa Rica.
• National and Latin-American conventions of local development and sustainable tourism carried out in Puerto Madryn in 2005, in San Carlos de Bariloche in 2006, in La Consulta/Mendoza in 2007, in Mendoza in 2008 and in Paraná, Entre Ríos, in 2009.
